College Football National Championship Game Preview

The College Football National Championship Game between the Alabama Crimson Tide and the Clemson Tigers is tonight. Hopefully this game will be better than the two semifinal games in which Alabama and Clemson blew out their opponents. Here’s everything you need to know about tonight’s game from the view of a 20 year old college football fan.

This will definitely be a defensive game, as both teams have the two best defenses in the country. What I’m looking forward to seeing most tonight, other than the camera shots of girls that go to Alabama and Clemson watching the game in the stands, is seeing the matchup of Derrick Henry against the Clemson defense. The Heisman winner will have his hands full against the best defense the Tide has played against all season. If he can’t get the job done, it’ll be up to Jake Coker to try and get the ball past the Clemson secondary. On the other side of the ball, Clemson quarterback Deshawn Watson will have to channel some of the magic Ole Miss quarterback Chad Kelly used to beat Alabama earlier this season. The Alabama defense has had some problems against dual-threat quarterbacks in the past, but you can bet that Nick Saban has been busy at work using his magical Satan…..I mean coaching powers to fix that aspect of the defense in time for tonight’s game.

Although Clemson comes into the game as the only undefeated team in college football at 14-0, Alabama is the favorite in this game. There is a reason for this. The only time Alabama has been an underdog since 2008 was this season in the game against Georgia. Alabama ended up murdering Georgia so bad they had to fire their coach at the end of the season and replace him with an Alabama assistant coach. I think this will end up being a good game, but in the end, you never bet against Nick Saban and the Tide. I got Alabama winning by a few touchdowns.

After tonight, we begin that fun time of year where we have to wait eight months to watch college football again. Yes!!
